Social Welfare Pension amounting to Rs. 277.51 crore received by 12.70 lakh beneficiary in the Chhattisgarh state - Raipur, April 30, 2009 - Various pension shemes of Chhattisgarh social security program run by Chhattisgarh Social Welfare Department provided Rupees 277 crore 51 lakh to 12 lakh 70 thousand beneficiaries in last financial year 2008-09. Chhattisgarh pension scheme is a powerful program to support the weaker section of Chhattisgarh society in need. This information given in the departmental review meeting held in Chhattisgarh Ministry here at Raipur today.
Chhattisgarh Social Welfare Department Secretary Mr. S. K. Behar reviewed district wise departmental plans in detail at the State-level meeting of departmental district officials. He informed that the works of Chhattisgarh Social Welfare Department is different from the works of other departments and told officers to work being sensitive in line with the intention of the state government in the interest of the weaker sections and disabled people of Chhattisgarh society.
Chhattisgarh social welfare officers said in review meeting that in the last financial year 2008-09 -
- under Chhattisgarh social security pension scheme Rs 116 crore 91 lakh in pension to 7 lakh 42 thousand beneficiaries,
- Under Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Vriddhavastha pension (Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension) plan Rs 101 crore 70 lakh as pension to 4 lakh 73 thousand hitgrahi,
- Under Chhattisgarh Sukhad Sahara (Pleasing Support)scheme a help of Rs 41 crore 09 lakh to 46 thousand and 685 Hitgrahi(beneficiary)
- Under Rashtriya Parivar Sahayata Yojna (National Family Assistance scheme) Rs 8 crore 81 lakh to 8 thousand and 647 Hitgrahion
have been benefited.
Similarly Chhattisgarh scholarship and disability support equipment help are -
- Under Chhattisgarh disability scholarship scheme the 12 thousand and 857 disabled got 95 lakh 14 thousand rupees as scholarships.
- Under Chhattisgarh artificial organ plan the equipment under 02 thousand and 462 beneficiary received 2 crore 60 lakhs rupees worth artificial limbs equipment.
Under Chhattisgarh Nishaktajan (disabled) marriage incentive scheme Rupees with the help of 87 lakh 36 thousand marriage of 246 couples has been concluded.
In the meeting implementation of Prohibition program, Disabled capacity development conference, grants to be given to Chhattisgarh voluntary organizations, Kalapathak Sceme and the Juvenile Justice Act was reviewed.

छत्तीसगढ़ समाज कल्याण विभाग की समीक्षा बैठक - छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य में 12.70 लाख हितग्राहियों को 277.51 करोड़ रूपए की पेंशन मिली - रायपुर, 30 अप्रैल 2009 - छत्तीसगढ़ में समाज कल्याण विभाग द्वारा संचालित छत्तीसगढ़ सामाजिक सुरक्षा की विभिन्न पेंशन योजनाओं से पिछले वित्तीय वर्ष 2008-09 में 12 लाख 70 हजार हितग्राहियों को 277 करोड़ 51 लाख रूपए की पेंशन दी गई है। छत्तीसगढ़ पेंशन कार्यक्रम, छत्तीसगढ़ समाज के जरूरतमंद कमजोर वर्ग को सहारे का सशक्त अस्त्र है। यह जानकारी आज यहां छत्तीसगढ़ मंत्रालय में आयोजित विभागीय समीक्षा बैठक में दी गई।
छत्तीसगढ़ समाज कल्याण विभाग के सचिव श्री एस.के. बेहार ने विभाग के जिला अधिकारियों की राज्य स्तरीय बैठक में विभागीय योजनाओं की जिलेवार विस्तृत समीक्षा की। उन्होंने छत्तीसगढ़ समाज कल्याण विभाग के कार्यों को अन्य विभागों के कार्यों से भिन्न बताते हुए राज्य शासन की मंशा के अनुरूप अधिकारियों को संवेदनशील होकर छत्तीसगढ़ समाज के नि:शक्तजनो एवं कमजोर वर्गों के हित में कार्य करने को कहा।
समीक्षा बैठक में छत्तीसगढ़ समाज कल्याण अधिकारियों ने बताया कि पिछले वित्तीय वर्ष 2008-09 में -
- छत्तीसगढ़ सामाजिक सुरक्षा पेंशन योजना के अंतर्गत 116 करोड़ 91 लाख रूपये की पेंशन सात लाख 42 हजार हितग्राहियों को,
- इंदिरा गांधी राष्ट्रीय वृध्दावस्था पेंशन योजना के अंतर्गत 101 करोड़ 70 लाख रूपये से चार लाख 73 हजार हितग्राहियों को,
- छत्तीसगढ़ सुखद सहारा योजना के अंतर्गत 41 करोड़ 09 लाख रूपये से 46 हजार 685 हितग्राहियों को और
- राष्ट्रीय परिवार सहायता योजना के अंतर्गत 8 करोड़ 81 लाख रूपये से आठ हजार 647 हितग्राहियों
को लाभान्वित किया गया है।
इसी तरह
- छत्तीसगढ़ नि:शक्तजन छात्रवृत्ति योजना के तहत 12 हजार 857 नि:शक्तजनों को 95 लाख 14 हजार रूपए की छात्रवृत्ति और
- छत्तीसगढ़ कृत्रिम अंग उपकरण योजना के तहत दो हजार 462 हितग्राहियों को दो करोड़ 60 लाख रूपए के कृत्रिम अंग उपकरण प्रदान किए गए हैं।
छत्तीसगढ़ नि:शक्तजन विवाह प्रोत्साहन योजना के तहत 87 लाख 36 हजार रूपए की सहायता से 246 जोड़ों का विवाह सम्पन्न कराया गया है।
बैठक में नशाबंदी कार्यक्रम, नि:शक्त सामर्थ्य विकास सम्मेलन, छत्तीसगढ़ स्वैच्छिक संस्थाओं को दी जाने वाली अनुदान, कलापथक योजना एवं किशोर न्याय अधिनियम के क्रियान्वयन की समीक्षा की गई।
बैठक में संचालक समाज कल्याण, छत्तीसगढ़ श्री पी.पी. सोती, संचालनालय के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी एवं सभी जिला अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
