Raipur, April 28, 2009 – District Panchayat President (Zila Panchayat Adhyaksha) Raipur Shri Ashok Bajaj, during the tour of village Mundra (Raveli) of Raipur district, advised villagers, in the village Chaupal, to actively effort for conservation and promotion of water for coming tomorrow. He said, encouraging the villagers, that for the water-conservation and water-promotion, effort will be made to provide technical cooperation to them through state government. Mr Bajaj said that today we need to save each drop of water because “Jal hai to kal hai” (means “if there is water, there is tomorrow”).
Mr Bajaj discussed various problems of the village with the villagers and observed the bank of Kharun River also. The villagers told that in rainy days due to faster flow of Kharun river the shore adjoining to village has been damaged enough heavily. Fields and the road has also been cut. Mr. Bajaj gave assurance of help to the villagers for this work too. On the occasion Sarv Shri Shankar Dau, Paras Sahu, Raju Agarwal, Harish Chandrakr, Visambhar Yadav, Mulji Bhai, Dukalha Sahu, Dhiraji Chakradhari, Chaitu Chakradhari, Lakhan Nishad and Vibhishan Sonkar and a large number of villagers were present.

रायपुर, 28 अप्रैल 2009 - जिला पंचायत रायपुर के अध्यक्ष श्री अशोक बजाज ने आज रायपुर जिले के ग्राम मुण्डरा (रवेली) के भ्रमण के दौरान गांव की चौपाल में ग्रामीणों को आने वाले कल के लिए पानी के संरक्षण और संवर्धन के लिए सक्रियता के साथ प्रयास करने की सलाह दी। उन्होंने ग्रामीणों को प्रोत्साहित करते हुए कहा कि जल-संरक्षण और जल-संवर्धन के लिए उन्हें राज्य शासन के माध्यम से तकनीकी सहयोग उपलब्ध कराने का प्रयास किया जाएगा। श्री बजाज ने कहा कि आज हमें एक-एक बूंद पानी की बचत करने की आवश्यकता है क्योंकि 'जल है तो कल है।'
श्री बजाज ने ग्रामीणों के साथ गांव की विभिन्न समस्याओं पर विचार-विमर्श किया और खारून नदी के तट का अवलोकन भी किया। ग्रामीणों ने बताया कि बरसात के दिनों में खारून नदी के तेज बहाव के कारण नदी का गांव से लगा तट काफी क्षतिग्रस्त हो गया है। खेत और सड़क भी कट गई है। श्री बजाज ने इस कार्य के लिए मदद का आश्वासन ग्रामीणों को दिया। इस अवसर पर सर्वश्री शंकर दाऊ, पारस साहू, राजू अग्रवाल, हरीश चन्द्राकर, विसम्भर यादव, मुलजी भाई, दुकलहा साहू, धिराजी चक्रधारी, चैतू चक्रधारी, लखन निषाद और विभीषण सोनकर सहित काफी संख्या में ग्रामीण उपस्थित थे।
