Raipur, Chhattisgarh, 20 April 2009 - Preparation for Chhattisgarh baby protection month to be celebrated from coming 15 May to 15 June 2009 has commenced. Along with regular vaccination of children aged zero to five years during Chhattisgarh Child protection month, vitamins tablet will also be distributed. Immunization vaccination of pregnant mothers during this period will be done too.
Chhattisgarh Department of Health will make calendar of an entire month for the success of Child Protection Month Program and will ensure regular vaccination to all children of the target group at field level.
During this period, pregnant mothers will be tested and and to remove blood shortage or anaemia the iron pills will be distributed on the spot.
Health Secretary, Mr S. K. Behar, today made a detailed review of it’s preparation in a meeting of the district immunization officials held at State Health Training Center located in Kalibarhi, Raipur. In the meeting Director, Family Welfare, Dr. B. S. Sarwa was also present.
The health secretary of Chhattisgarh government instructed that after start of rain in June, the outbreak of mosquito also stars, so medication of mosquito net distributed in the tribal districts should also be done during the Child Protection month.
The health secretary also reviewed in the meeting the expenditure incurred so far in Immunization programs and the Pulse Polio program.
Chhattisgarh State Immunization Officer, Dr. Subhash Pandey and vaccination officials of all the districts of Chhattisgarh were present in the review meeting.
छत्तीसगढ़ शिशु संरक्षण माह 15 मई से - रायपुर, छत्तीसगढ़, 20 अप्रैल 2009 - छत्तीसगढ़ में आगामी 15 मई से 15 जून 2009 तक शिशु संरक्षण माह मनाने की तैयारी आरंभ्भ हो गई। शिशु संरक्षण माह के दौरान शून्य से पांच वर्ष तक के बच्चों का नियमित टीकाकरण के साथ ही उन्हें विटामिन की गोलियां वितरित की जाएगी। इस दौरान गर्भवती माताओं का भी टीकाकरण किया जाएगा।
छत्तीसगढ़ स्वास्थ्य विभाग शिशु संरक्षण माह कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने के लिए पूरे एक माह का कैलेण्डर बनायागी और मैदानी स्तर पर लक्षित समूह के सभी बच्चों का नियमित टीकाकरण सुनिश्चित करेगी ।
इस दौरान गर्भवती माताओं की जांच भी की जाएगी और रक्त अल्पता को दूर करने के लिए उन्हें आयरन की गोलियां मौके पर वितरित किया जाएगा।
स्वास्थ्य सचिव श्री एस. के. बेहार ने आज यहां कालीबाड़ी स्थित राज्य स्वास्थ्य प्रशिक्षण केन्द्र में आयोजित जिला टीकाकरण अधिकारियों की बैठक में इसकी तैयारियों की विस्तृत समीक्षा की। बैठक में संचालक परिवार कल्याण डॉ. बी.एस. सार्वा भी उपस्थित थे।
छत्तीसगढ़ शासन के स्वास्थ्य सचिव ने कहा कि जून में बरसात शुरू होने के बाद मच्छरों का प्रकोप भी शुरू हो जाता है, इसलिए आदिवासी जिलों में वितरित मच्छरदानियों का औषधिकरण भी शिशु संरक्षण माह के दौरान किया जाए।
स्वास्थ्य सचिव ने बैठक में टीकाकरण कार्यक्रमों में अब तक हुए खर्च और पल्स पोलियो कार्यक्रम की भी समीक्षा की।
समीक्षा बैठक में छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य टीकाकरण अधिकारी डॉ. सुभाष पाण्डेय और छत्तीसगढ़ के सभी जिलों के टीकाकरण अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
